The Mazda MX-5 has gone through several revolutionary changes since its inception and initial production in 1989. The third and newest generation features a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission or an automatic 6-speed set up. The standard engine is a 16-valve, 2.0L MZR which produces 170bph or 130 kW. Brand new features such as traction and stability control were also implemented in order to improve the driveability of the car. A recent edition, the MX-5 Superlight features a 1.8 litre petrol engine that rated 126 PS.
